Program Manager - Manufacturing

Waltonen is actively seeking a Program Manager to join our team!

Job Responsibilities

• Monitoring, directing, and controlling manufacturing programs.  Will lead in the areas of cost, schedule, and performance.
• Directing a focused program, including strategic planning, analyzing the program activities, expenses and profits, and establishing goals
• Responsible for planning and directing a group of individuals and monitoring their work and take corrective actions when necessary.
• Ensures risks are properly managed and mitigated against to avoid becoming issues. Risk management is critical to project success. Create a robust process for the identification, management and mitigation of risk.
• The Program Manager must have strong practical experience in project management, which was gained by managing manufacturing-related projects

Qualifications

• Knowledge and handling of project and program management methodology and techniques
• 2+ years experience with automotive and/or aerospace fixtures required
• Knowledge of machining, tool build, welding and CMM processes in regards to timing, milestones, and deadlines
• Understanding of the wider objectives of the program
• The ability to find innovative ways to resolve problems
• Ability to work positively with the wide range of individuals involved in program management
• Requires strong leadership and people skills.  As well as a strong management discipline and communication skills
• Knowledge of budgeting and resource allocation procedures
• Strong negotiation skills
• Experience leading/following manufacturing projects
• Willingness to travel as necessary
