Waltonen Engineering is actively seeking a Software Engineer to join our team!
Responsibilities
- Responsible for configuring VxWorks, Linux or other embedded operating systems
- Perform Linux programming
Develop software documentation - Design and test software
- Debug software system
- Enable embedded system security
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, computer science, or electrical engineering (or relevant degree)
- Previous experience in board support packages or system/kernel programming in a Linux environment
- Experience with vehicle software
- Experience troubleshooting software issues
- Experience in developing C and C++ code
- Experience with designing system software for PPC, Arm, RISC-V or other Intel based platforms
- Experience with build environments like Buildroot or OpenEmbedded
- Only United States Citizens can be considered
- Must possess or be able to obtain security clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience with military vehicle software
- Knowledge of military standards
- Experience with Ethernet or CAN data bus
- DOORS experience
- GIT, Bitbucket and/or Confluence experience
