System Architecture Engineer

Waltonen Engineering is actively seeking a System Architecture Engineer to join our team!

Responsibilities

• Design the video architecture for the vehicle
• Design the network architecture used for the vehicle
• Design the time synchronization strategy to be used
• Work with the team on evaluating the needs for the power architecture to be used
• Define the key component interfaces (CI) and maintain the data source

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline
• 7 years related engineering experience sought but will consider fewer years with an advanced degree
• Only United States Citizens can be considered
• Must Possess or be able to obtain a security clearance
• Experience with developing system requirements, system specifications, requirement traceability, and requirements compliance preferred
• Strong skills in the development of a System Architecture that is compliant with the System Requirements and System Design Definition
• Capital Enterprise Experience (or similar software tool)
• Ability to develop a system model and system architecture using SysML preferred
• Must be able to work occasional evening and/or weekend overtime as required
• Ability to work in office, shop, test lab, and test site environments, and in vehicles

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering
• This position may require the candidate to be able to climb on/off, work in, and work around military vehicles
• Must be able to pass ASR test (Anthropometric Size Requirement for confined space)
• Work experience in the Defense Industry and working with the US government as a customer.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
• Works well in a team and individually
