Design Checker - Defense

Waltonen Engineering is actively seeking a Design Checker to join our team! As a Design Checker, you will be responsible for meticulously reviewing and scrutinizing design documentation to ensure compliance with established standards and regulations within the Defense industry.

Job Responsibilities:

• Examine engineering CAD models, drawings, and documentation for accuracy, completeness, and sound design
• Interact daily with Designers and Detailers regarding CAD models/drawings
• Identify errors and corrections needed - ensuring that designs conform to customer specifications
• Provide feedback and address any issues promptly
• Regularly use Creo CAD software to open, manipulate, and modify specific files

Qualifications:

• Prior experience in checking designs within the defense sector is highly desirable
• Demonstrated work history checking CAD models 
• Ability to communicate constructively and professionally with team members
• Familiarity with MIL standards & GD&T
• Only United States citizens can be considered
• Must possess or be able to obtain a security clearance

Preferred Qualifications:

• Checking experience utilizing Creo CAD software
• Previous CAD modeling experience is a plus
• Exposure to Teamcenter, a product lifecycle management (PLM) system, is a plus
• Familiarity with Vismockup is a plus
