Custodian/Janitor

Waltonen Group is actively seeking a dedicated and reliable Custodian/Janitor to join our team! This part-time position will provide essential support for our Troy and Warren facilities, ensuring they remain clean, organized, and well-maintained.

Responsibilities

• Clean bathrooms throughout the day, ensuring they are well-maintained and hygienic
• Mop and vacuum floors as needed to maintain cleanliness
• Tidy up other areas of the facility/shop as required
• Perform light maintenance work and repairs, such as changing light bulbs
• Support both Warren and Troy facilities by traveling between locations as needed
• Ensure all cleaning and maintenance tasks are completed efficiently and to a high standard
• Report to Independence Tooling Operations Manager
• Other duties as assigned by the management team

Qualifications

• Previous experience in custodial or janitorial work is required
• Ability to perform light maintenance tasks
• Must be dependable and reliable
• Willingness to take direction and work as part of a team
• Familiarity with cleaning products and equipment
• Valid driver's license with reliable transportation to support both Warren and Troy locations
• Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
• Ability to stand, walk, and bend for extended periods
• Good communication skills and a positive attitude
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Due to the nature of the work, only U.S. citizens may be considered

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with cleaning and maintenance in a commercial or industrial setting
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including peak times
