Waltonen Engineering is seeking a Creo Designer to join our team!
Responsibilities
Report directly to the Waltonen Design Lead, ensuring alignment with project goals and company standards.
Leverage Creo Parametric software to create detailed design layouts for intricate units and mechanisms, specifically for ground combat vehicles in the Defense Industry.
Conduct necessary design computations to support the development process.
Draft comprehensive general specifications, including bills of materials, to guide the production process.
Work closely with the Design Lead, detailers, and fellow designers to brainstorm and develop innovative solutions to design challenges.
Produce creative and accurate drawings that reflect the design objectives set by senior team members.
Utilize both manual drafting techniques and computer-aided design tools to complete detailed design drawings.
Ensure all designs meet customer requirements and adhere to industry standards and regulations, particularly those related to defense vehicles.
Qualifications
Minimum of 2 years of experience in product design using Creo Parametric or Pro-E software.
Experience in modeling from assembly drawings/packages.
Proficiency in sheet metal and/or structural design.
Solid modeling and assembly design experience.
Strong analytical skills to recognize and solve design and mechanical problems.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Must be a team player with strong collaborative skills.
Willingness to work overtime as needed, with the ability to adapt to fluctuating workloads.
Availability to work between 40 to 60 hours per week based on project demands.
Willingness to work remotely on Saturdays as needed to meet customer demands.
Only United States citizens can be considered.
Must possess or be able to obtain a security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications
Associates in Vehicle Design or Product Development
Familiarity with Teamcenter or Vismockup is a plus
Experience in vehicle component mechanical design.
Knowledge of powertrain, chassis, or body design.
Experience in electrical design, including routing and packaging.
